Morning Maiden

Its almost sad how much better this looks (to me) than the thanks for 1,500 pageviews picture. I took less time to do this one too. Two days of 6-7 hour sprees.
I felt inspired to try semi-realism with a splash of painterly style. I dont know if I hit painterly, but I'm satisfied with the textures and values.
I think I may have had another artistic life upgrade.~

As stated, this is Anei.
Anei is the youngest of a set of 4 royal persons who dedicate themselves to the twin guardians of a huge tree called Fuuka. She is the Maiden of the Black dragon (as opposed to the White). Pretty as she is, she has a massive inferiority complex because the other 3 persons are actually blood relatives. She feels she is incapable of ever really being included. None of the 4 are allowed to speak to the common people living in the lower branches, so it's hard for her to cope, and she tends to be rebellious.
